Una Osili, Ph.D., director of research at the Indiana University Lilly Family School of Philanthropy, is being hailed as one of “Forty Under 40” young professionals to watch. The honor is being conferred by the Indianapolis Business Journal.

Indiana University President Michael A. McRobbie and IU Indianapolis Chancellor and Executive Vice President Charles R. Bantz today announced the appointment of Gene Tempel to be the founding dean of IU’s new School of Philanthropy, subject to the approval of the IU Board of Trustees at its next business meeting, Oct. 12.

I want to express my sincere appreciation to the Board of Visitors and Center friends for your continued support of the School of Philanthropy. These past few months have gone quickly as the school proposal was on the fast-track in the approval process. It belies all of the hard work and effort that you have provided over the many years that we have been working on becoming a school. We are very excited to begin the work of developing a structure for the School. We will have many reasons to celebrate in November at our 25th Anniversary celebration.
