Thanks to a generous gift from the Thomasson family, we are pleased to offer undergraduate students the opportunity to apply for an all-encompassing, up to four-year scholarship that is equivalent to the cost of tuition and fees, room and board, and books, as well as support for a semester of study abroad.
We are pleased to offer the Hearst Scholarship for undergraduate students.
The Hearst Undergraduate Scholarship is designed for underrepresented minority students with demonstrated financial need, who also plan to reside in the United States upon completion of their philanthropic leadership degree. Two in-state scholarships ($5,000) and one out-of-state scholarship ($10,000) will be awarded each academic year.
The Johnson Family Scholars Award will provide $4,500 for one academic year to one Mays Family Institute on Diverse Philanthropy undergraduate student majoring in philanthropic leadership. Underrepresented populations and students with financial need are strongly encouraged to apply.
Undergraduate philanthropic leadership students enrolled in a RISE designated course, or enrolled in a course while participating in the RISE to the IU Indianapolis challenge program, are eligible to apply for an IU Lilly Family School of Philanthropy RISE scholarship. Scholarships ($1500) are available each semester for students who meet eligibility requirements.
This award is for Indianapolis students in a philanthropic leadership program (undergraduate or graduate, including Ph.D.). International students studying in Indianapolis are eligible to apply. Students must be in good academic standing.
The award is for the purchase of books required for philanthropic leadership courses up to $300 per semester.

The Youth Philanthropy Scholarship is awarded to students who have demonstrated a commitment to philanthropic engagement through volunteering, extra-curricular activities, community involvement, advocacy, etc. Scholarship amount can be up to $1,500.
