Embark on a future in philanthropy

Whether you are an undergraduate interested in a career in the nonprofit sector or a seasoned professional seeking the research and leadership opportunities an advanced degree program has to offer, you can find an exciting, challenging path at the IU Lilly Family School of Philanthropy.

Our Bachelor of Arts in Philanthropic Studies will give you a solid academic foundation, paired with real-world experiences. If you know that you're likely to pursue an advanced degree in philanthropy, you might consider our accelerated B.A./M.A. program.

Our Master of Arts in Philanthropic Studies draws working professionals from all over the world, often after they have earned a certificate in an additional specialty area such as philanthropic fundraising or museum studies.

We also offer two kinds of doctoral degrees—the Ph.D. in Philanthropic Studies trains future scholars and professionals to conduct original research on philanthropy, while our new Professional Doctorate in Philanthropic Leadership is designed for seasoned leaders from a wide range of fields, including the nonprofit, private, and government sectors.
