Muslim Philanthropy awards and fellowships

We hope to further the research, understanding, and practice of Muslim Philanthropy through the development of scholarships, fellowships, and prizes in the field.

Doctoral dissertation fellowship

MPI offers a yearly doctoral dissertation fellowship of $5,000, designed to contribute to building the field and support early scholars in their study of Muslim philanthropy and/or civil society.

MPI Emerging Scholars Award

An annual award of $1,000 to support the next generation of scholars and practitioners specializing in the field of Muslim philanthropy and civil society.

Zakat Foundation Institute (ZFI) Fellowship

The ZFI Muslim Philanthropy and Humanitarian Studies Fellowship is a one-year fellowship program for candidates seeking a Graduate Certificate in Philanthropic Studies from Indiana University.
