Biography
Ted Grossnickle is the senior consultant and founder of Johnson, Grossnickle and Associates and a volunteer to many nonprofits.
After graduation from Wabash College, he worked at Proctor and Gamble Company, his alma mater and then Northern Illinois University where he served in several roles including advancement, corporate and legislative relations.
From 1983-1993, he served as vice president of development and public affairs at Franklin College and then as acting president in 1993. He co-founded JGA with Don Johnson in 1994. Ted serves as chair of the JGA board of directors, as managing counsel to several clients and as a mentor to staff.
He is deeply engaged in the nonprofit sector as an author, speaker, teacher and board member and has received recognition for his service including the Henry A. Rosso Medal for Lifetime Achievement in Ethical Fundraising.
He is a member and immediate past president of The Giving Institute, serves on the board of trustees at Garrett Theological Seminary, was a trustee and campaign chairman at Wabash College and was formerly a member and chair of the board of visitors of the Indiana University Lilly Family School of Philanthropy. He chaired the Working Committee, which planned and organized the Generosity Commission and currently serves as its Counselor.
