The Fund Raising School, Lilly Family School of Philanthropy offer new resources for successful fundraising amid today’s economic turmoil
INDIANAPOLIS—The Fund Raising School and other experts at the Indiana University Lilly Family School of Philanthropy are offering several new, free resources to help nonprofits raise crucial funds to support their missions in light of the COVID-19 pandemic’s impact on the economy.
The free webinars, podcasts, blogs and other analysis and recommendations are based on the school’s research, insights and expertise from its scholars, and the knowledge and experience of The Fund Raising School’s faculty of veteran fundraisers.
The resources are aimed at helping fundraising professionals, nonprofit executives and others in the philanthropic sector succeed in their fundraising, weather economic and financial challenges and navigate other issues arising in these tumultuous times. All are available through a special Philanthropy and COVID-19 section on the Lilly Family School of Philanthropy website; new resources will be added.
Fridays with The Fund Raising School Webinar Series
These free weekly webinars are more conversation than presentation, providing an opportunity to learn and sharpen fundraising skills in an online, interactive forum that also allows participants to ask questions, share, worry, wonder and vent. The live webinars are at Noon and 2:00 p.m. EDT; space is limited and registration is required. Recordings are available to the public after the webinar date.
April 3: How to Endure as a Fundraiser in Difficult Times

April 10: A Conversation with Dr. Gene Tempel

In 2008, Tempel was selected to lead the Indiana University Foundation. Then, the economy plunged into the depths of the Great Recession but fundraising goals still had to be met. He will share lessons he learned that can help fundraisers endure the new crisis.
