Honor Societies

The Lilly Scholars & Lilly Laureates Societies

About the Societies

The Lilly Scholars and Lilly Laureates Societies recognize students who embody the highest standards of excellence within the IU Lilly School. Through the four guiding pillars of Academics, Leadership, Service, and School Engagement, these honor societies celebrate students who contribute meaningfully to their campus, profession, and community.

The Lilly Scholars Society honors undergraduate students, while the Lilly Laureates Society recognizes graduate students. Together, these societies foster a community of engaged scholars dedicated to making a lasting impact.

Members gain access to meaningful social, service, and professional development opportunities, as well as recognition at commencement through a certificate and honorary sash.

Apply to join

Applications are open to students pursuing a bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral degree within the IU Lilly School. Students pursuing only a minor or certificate are not eligible at this time.

Interested students are encouraged to review the requirements before applying.

If you have questions about the application process or eligibility, please contact Pamela Clark at pamelac@iu.edu.

Events & opportunities

The Lilly Societies are designed to connect students through engaging, purpose-driven experiences. Each semester, the IU Lilly School will host at least one social event and one professional development opportunity for members.
