Outlook for giving in 2018 and 2019, Schwab and Vanguard insights on fundraising from national donor advised funds among highlights of Jan. 25-26 seminar in Miami
Expert advice on how to raise support from national donor advised funds and the Philanthropy Outlook for giving in 2018 and 2019 are among the knowledge designed to help nonprofits raise more money in the New Year that will be presented at The Fund Raising School’s Leadership Roundtable, Jan. 25-26, 2018, in Miami.
Nonprofit leaders, fundraisers and foundation executives will hear and discuss projections about charitable giving, the newest research on philanthropy and fundraising, and insights on leading-edge issues from national philanthropy experts during this interactive seminar.
At a time when donors are increasingly selecting national donor advised funds as their means of giving, representatives from two of the largest funds, Schwab and Vanguard, will explain how their funds operate and offer suggestions on how to fundraise more effectively from them.
During the Leadership Roundtable, national philanthropy experts also will:
• provide leading-edge information on impact investing by large foundations, including from a top executive of the Knight Foundation;
• teach you how to hire and teach your fundraising staff, board members, and other colleagues “the art of fundraising” – the essential soft skills of successful fundraisers; and
• share insights into Muslim philanthropy.
“Fundraising practitioners must stay abreast of the latest knowledge about philanthropy, and that knowledge is changing at a relentless pace, yet learning and processing the latest developments and incorporating them into successful fundraising is increasingly challenging,” said Amir Pasic, Ph.D., the Eugene R. Tempel Dean of the Indiana University Lilly Family School of Philanthropy at IU Indianapolis. “The Fund Raising School and the Lilly Family School of Philanthropy are pleased to provide nonprofit executives and fundraisers the opportunity to acquire, analyze and discuss with peers issues and insights that will help them improve their fundraising.”
Leadership Roundtable sessions also will include strategies for how fundraisers can and should “lead up” and a discussion of the effects of natural and manmade disasters on fundraising for non-disaster relief nonprofits.
