Biography
During the last fourteen years, Saima served as a development and communication professional at OBAT Helpers, an international development and relief organization based in the United States. Her passion for humanitarian work fueled her efforts to grow OBAT and effectively accomplish its mission of empowering displaced communities in Bangladesh. Saima plans to use her skills and rich experience from the nonprofit sector to advance MPI’s mission of strengthening the Muslim nonprofit and philanthropic landscape.
Saima completed her MBA with a major in marketing from the Institute of Business Administration in Karachi, Pakistan. After moving to the US, she received her Masters in Professional Accountancy degree from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University and later, a CFRM certification from the Lilly School of Philanthropy at Indiana University.
Saima resides in Carmel, Indiana and spends her free time reading, volunteering and taking tennis lessons.
