Deadline to Apply: April 30
Experienced researchers in global philanthropy are invited to apply for the Global Philanthropy Fellowship at the Indiana University Lilly Family School of Philanthropy. This fellowship, with financial support from the Giving USA Foundation, supports one researcher in residence to work alongside the Global Philanthropy Indices and Giving USA research teams.
The fellowship offers a unique platform for scholars to engage with the school’s research teams and conduct comparative and cross-national research on philanthropy and civil society. The fellow will contribute to building the global field of philanthropy research, provide added value to ongoing school research products, and enhance the impact of their research within their home communities and worldwide. They will benefit from access to world-class resources, including faculty mentorship and Indiana University’s extensive library systems. The fellow will be invited to present at the November Giving Institute meeting and at the Giving Institute Summer Symposium.
The Fellowship provides a $50,000 stipend to help cover travel costs to and from Indianapolis, cost of living expenses, and the required health insurance through Indiana University. At least four months of residency on campus in Indianapolis is required, with full residency from August to May preferred.
Eligible candidates should hold at least a master’s degree, but doctoral or post-doc candidates are also welcome. Applications must be submitted by April 30, 2025. The selected Fellow will be announced by May 30, 2025, with the program officially commencing on August 1, 2025.
Candidates for the Global Philanthropy Fellowship are invited to review the call for applications and to fill out the online application form no later than April 30, 2025.
