Since founding Hedges in 2002, Erin has become a trusted thought leader within the nonprofit community. She excels at strategic visioning, cultivating mutually beneficial donor/cause relationships, and helping organizations solidify aggressive but responsible plans for the future. She has continued to grow the organization’s deep knowledge of the intertwined roles of Central Indiana nonprofits, philanthropic institutions, corporations, and government entities in solving complex social and economic issues.
Internally, Erin leads the Hedges team by example. She creates an environment that fosters social innovation and professional growth, inspiring members of her team to do their best work, every time. “I’m very proud of the way Hedges has developed over time into a nimble team of intelligent, experienced, and hard working professionals that can leverage each other’s skills to solve issues that matter in Central Indiana,” she said.
Erin currently serves as president on the board of directors for Dove House. She is a member of the alumni board for Indiana University Lilly Family School of Philanthropy, a Director’s Council member at Joy’s House, and a Starfish Initiative mentor.
Erin holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Butler University, and a Master of Arts in Philanthropic Studies from the Lilly Family School of Philanthropy at Indiana University. She lives in Indianapolis with her husband, daughter, and dog, and spends a good deal of her downtime traveling and reading historical fiction.
