Tony Viviano, MA, CFRM
Serving as Associate Director of Development, Tony Viviano, works the Major Gift donors to fulfill the mission of Owen Graduate School of Management at Vanderbilt University.
Tony’s professional career spans the philanthropic sector from higher education to arts and culture. He has had various roles over his professional career in major giving, annual giving, and advancement services. The majority of his career being in higher education fundraising, in his various roles he has increased annual revenue, donor retention, and organized successful giving days for multiple organizations to reach donor and dollar goals. He has raised funds for McKendree University, Purdue University, Lambda Chi Alpha Educational Foundation, and Newfields. He also worked briefly for Renaissance Philanthropic Solutions Group, a donor advised fund administration firm helping donors open DAF’s and other charitable giving tools.
Tony volunteers on the Central Indiana Chapter of the Indiana University Alumni Association Board of Directors, and Alpha Kappa Lambda Education Foundation Board. During graduate school he worked on the research team for the Indiana University Lilly Family School of Philanthropy on a literature review of declining donors for the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and assisted in data collection of gifts made to COVID-19 relief efforts.
Tony studied at McKendree University (B.A. in business administration management) and Indiana University Lilly Family School of Philanthropy (Master of Philanthropic Studies) and Indiana University O’Neill School of Public and Environmental Affairs (Graduate Certificate in nonprofit management). Tony enjoys the arts, travel, watching and playing sports, and hiking with his golden retriever Barley.
