Patrick Lindenmeyer
Patrick currently serves as a Gift Planning Officer at the University of Notre Dame, playing a pivotal role in facilitating significant deferred and structured contributions from alumni, family, and friends, including gifts of estates, trusts, real estate, and privately held business interests. His direct engagement involves collaborating closely with major gift fundraisers and their benefactors to craft impactful planned giving strategies that align donor objectives with the University's mission to be a Force for Good. This daily, hands-on experience provides him with a current and nuanced understanding of the complexities and emerging opportunities within the planned giving arena.
Prior to his role at Notre Dame, Patrick amassed nearly two decades of experience in the financial services and investment sector. Previously holding his FINRA Series 6, 63, and 82 securities licenses, he worked in partnership extensively with financial advisors, attorneys, and CPAs across the country. During this time, he specialized in developing comprehensive investment, estate, and charitable giving strategies for their clients. Patrick currently holds his Indiana Life Insurance License, Certified Funds Specialist (CFS) designation, and Certificate in Alternative Investments from the Institute of Business and Finance. His background also includes consulting on raising capital through Reg D offerings and contributing to the development of a blockchain-based trading platform for digitized private securities, demonstrating a deep understanding of financial instruments and innovative solutions.
Patrick graduated from Holy Cross College, where he was a member of the inaugural class to receive a bachelor’s degree in Liberal Studies in 2005. Building upon this foundation, he is currently pursuing both a Master of Arts in Philanthropic Studies at Indiana University's Lilly Family School of Philanthropy, and a master’s degree in Nonprofit Administration from the University of Notre Dame’s Mendoza College of Business, further deepening his expertise in the theoretical and practical aspects of giving and solidifying his understanding of organizational leadership and mission-driven work within the nonprofit sector. Beyond his formal education, Patrick actively contributes to the philanthropic community through his service on the boards of the Catholic Community Foundation of Northeast Indiana and the Bria Janelle Foundation.
