Nadeem Riaz
Nadeem Riaz is the Director of Development at CAIR-LA, where he leads philanthropic strategy and fundraising efforts for one of the nation’s leading civil rights organizations. A lifelong Southern Californian, Nadeem brings over 15 years of experience in both nonprofit and for-profit sectors, with deep expertise in fund development, major gifts, and strategic growth.
Before joining CAIR-LA, Nadeem held several senior leadership roles, including Global Director of Business Development at LaunchGood, Fundraising Manager at Islamic Relief USA, and Major Gift Director at Penny Appeal USA. He also brings financial insight from his time as a Portfolio Manager and Analyst at Devon Bank, where he oversaw charitable investments and donor-advised funds.
Nadeem is also a dedicated educator. He serves as an adjunct professor of business at various institutions across Southern California and is a national instructor on executive leadership and fund development with the Oaktree Institute. Through these roles, he has trained hundreds of nonprofit professionals in sustainable fundraising and organizational strategy.
Rooted in community service, Nadeem has served in numerous board, advisory, and youth leadership roles throughout Southern California. He holds an MBA in Strategy and Finance and is a Certified Fund Raising Manager (CFRM), having completed his training through The Fund Raising School at the Lilly Family School of Philanthropy.
Outside of his professional work, Nadeem is a husband, father to two boys—Harun and Hisham—and an avid coffee enthusiast. He enjoys the outdoors, staying active in sports, traveling, and contributing to initiatives that create lasting, meaningful impact.
