Louie A. Correa, CAE
For nearly 25 years, Louie Correa has served in various roles within the nonprofit sector, including almost 20 years in development. Louie serves as Executive Director of Development for the Purdue University College of Engineering.
Previous to his time at Purdue, Louie has served as Senior Director of Development for the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Pharmacy where he has led his team to 7 of the top 8 fundraising years in the School’s history.
During his career, Louie has served nonprofit organizations of various sizes including the VCU School of the Arts, The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis, Tau Kappa Epsilon International Fraternity, and served as the Founding CEO of Project 375. Louie also served a wide range of nonprofit clients including arts organizations, health systems, professional societies, community foundations, and more during his time as a consultant with Campbell & Company.
Louie has served on the Lilly Family School of Philanthropy Alumni Board, the VCU Rams in Recovery Board of Directors, the Friends of Indianapolis Animal Care and Control Board of Directors, and much more. He has served as adjunct faculty for the L. Douglas Wilder School of Government & Public Affairs at VCU. He has been recognized both locally and nationally for his community service and in 2021 was featured on The Today Show.
Louie holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Illinois and a Master of Arts from the Lilly Family School of Philanthropy at Indiana University where he served as an author for Giving USA in 2010, 2011, and 2012. He earned a Certificate in Nonprofit Management from Indiana University and a Certificate of Fundraising Management from The Fundraising School at Indiana University. He is a Certified Association Executive (CAE) as recognized by the American Society of Association Executives.
