Kelly K. Shrock, CFRE
Kelly Shrock worked in and supported higher education for twenty years before transitioning to The Community Foundation in 2012. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and Social Work from Ball State University and a Master’s degree in Higher Education Administration from Miami University.
As President of The Community Foundation of Muncie and Delaware County, Kelly worked with donors, community volunteers, and civic leaders to create a legacy that benefitted the Muncie community for years to come.
When Kelly moved to Iowa she served for two years as the Executive Director of the Des Moines Public Library Foundation. Surrounded by books, she and a part-time administrative assistant worked to ensure a six-branch public library system had the resources needed to enrich the community.
Recently, Kelly transitioned to a part-time role as Director of Development for Graceland University in Southern Iowa. She also serves as the First Lady of Graceland and enjoys helping her husband meet key goals of creating a great student culture, making Graceland a great place to work, and bringing in revenue to the university.
She holds the professional credential of Certified Fundraising Executive. Kelly is also a graduate of The Fundraising School with a Certificate in Fundraising Management. She joined the faculty of The Fundraising School in 2014.
Her community service includes Decatur County Rotary Club, Mid-Iowa Planned Giving Council, and P.E.O. She and Joel live in Lamoni, IA with their dog Pongo who keeps a watchful eye out for their three sons to come home.
