In her role with Save the Children, a humanitarian organization for children, she led the organization’s efforts to mobilize private support for domestic and international programs. Under her leadership, private support from foundations, corporations and major donors grew exponentially to well over $200 million a year.
A firm believer in the power of private philanthropy, Bonifacio established partnerships with Fortune 500 companies such as Johnson & Johnson, Procter & Gamble, Starbucks and The Walt Disney Company. She led a $100 million capital campaign and engaged coalitions of philanthropists to advance social impact. As Chair of Save the Children’s Global Corporate Partnerships Group and the organization’s Global Partnerships and Philanthropy Leadership Group, she promoted best practices to increase private donor engagement throughout the global organization.
The lecture is named in memory of Milton Murray, a pioneer in the world of public relations and fundraising for nonprofit sector.
