The Indiana University Lilly Family School of Philanthropy, with support from the Carnegie Corporation of New York, is excited to announce a new eight-week virtual training course under the Emerging Scholars on African Philanthropy Initiative.
Developing Annual Sustainability, offered through The Fund Raising School (a part of the Lilly Family School of Philanthropy), will equip participants from higher education institutions in sub-Saharan Africa with strategies to strengthen institutional advancement, engage donors, and plan for annual sustainability.
This free online course will be offered to selected individuals in sub-Saharan Africa who are Interested in increasing their fundraising knowledge in higher education. To keep the peer interaction and course experience interactive and effective, this course will be limited to 30 selected participants who meet eligibility requirements.
Led by experts from the Indiana University Lilly Family School of Philanthropy and the Centre on African Philanthropy and Social Investment at the University of Witwatersrand, the course will also feature guest speakers from African higher education institutions.
The course is anticipated to begin in mid-October and to run through mid-December 2025. Applications are due on July 31, 2025. Learn more about the application criteria and how to apply.
