Mehak Jamil is a risk and financial regulatory professional with nearly two decades of experience spanning traditional finance and public-sector oversight. After building a career in risk management, compliance, and regulatory affairs across global financial institutions, she now focuses on the regulation of cryptocurrency and emerging financial technologies for New York State. Her work centers on strengthening regulatory frameworks, advancing , and protecting consumers in a rapidly evolving digital asset landscape.
Beyond her professional role, Mehak is actively engaged in civic and cultural leadership. She serves as a Council Member for the New York State Division of Human Rights Hate and Bias Prevention Unit for the Capital Region, is a Board Member of the Albany Institute of History & Art, and is a cofounder of the Albany Muslim Advocacy Coalition (AMAC). Her advisory and political work focuses on protecting vulnerable communities, advancing civil rights, and building durable, community-driven institutions.
